The IACPA Board of Directors provides strategic governance in accordance with the IACPA strategic plan, mission and vision. The board ensures the IACPA serves the diverse needs of members, enhances professional competency, promotes the value of members and the profession, advocates on behalf of the profession and builds community among members.

Mr. Rodney D.Foster, Chief Executive Officer, is a distinguished academic leader and business consultant who has been engaged in public accounting and has a deeper understanding of the fiscal and tax field in the areas of taxation, banking and insurance. Mr. Rodney D.Foster is a leader in improving financial reporting, transparency and accountability in the public sector. In 2014, he was named by Accounting Today as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the Field of Finance and Taxation. As President of the Institute of Certified Professional Accountants, Mr. Rodney D.Foster led the early development of the IACPA's global strategy, resulting in the IACPA now having nearly 170,000 members worldwide. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Accounting Board's Center for Public Trust and on the Advisory Board of the Stetson University School of Business.

Samuel D. Cheris is Vice President of the International Accountants For Certified Professional Association (IACPA). In this role, he is responsible for supporting and improving the quality of CPA firm practice, creating and cultivating new alliances around the world to support and enhance the value of U.S. CPAs overseas. Samuel D. Cheris has served on the Special Committee on National Regulation on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and testified before the United States Senate Banking Subcommittee. He has also served as Chairman of the AICPA's PCPS Executive Committee.
Director, Member Committee

Jim Kanf is a senior member of IACPA and a member of the Development Committee. Previously, he was an audit partner at KPMG, responsible for auditing wineries, hotels and clothing manufacturers. Currently, he focuses on ECPD project development and marketing. He plays a key role in the IACPA's technology-related initiatives, strategic planning, and technology-based ECPD. Whether it is ensuring ECPD courses for our members, assisting in peer reviews, or on numerous special projects, Jim Kanf has performed extremely well and has been an important member of the team.
Secretary/Treasurer

General Secretary Marty J. Fredericks is a member of the Legislative Council of IACPA and a full member of IACPA. He graduated from Wattburg College with a bachelor's degree in accounting, served as the Chief Financial Officer of IAPTA, is a Certified Public Accountant in New York and New Jersey, and has practiced in the public and private sectors. He is also a member of the Executive Board of Professional Practice of the Center for Audit Quality, an affiliate of the AICPA, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Prince Charles Sustainable Accounting Program, where he has guided policy on the educational requirements to become a licensed CPA and is a distinguished academic adviser.
